Well we have said goodbye to our driver Pappu (I found out it was spelt with a 'P' when h gave me his business card after 3 weeks of calling him the wrong thing) and are now out on our own which we are actually very excited about. We are looking forward to being the master of our time and being able to do all the things that we want to and not just things popular on the tourist route.
This place is nice and quiet (by Indian city standards!) compared to the rest of the cities that we have been so far - partly because it is Sunday we are guessing and we are enjoying wandering the streets looking at silver jewellery and seeking out food that we can't get anywhere else like proper coffee and cake... don't think that we will be successful in this but will keep you posted.
We are off to Mumbai (Bombay) tomorrow on the train which may take a couple of days and will be interesting!
