Ah familiar faces! London, Amsterdam & Paris

Well just after Christmas it was lovely to have a visit from some familiar old faces Prue and Amy who did a whirlwind tour of Europe. They came to stay with us in London for a few days before jetsetting around the place! We had a girly trip to Amsterdam which was hilarious and a weekend in Paris and in general a whole lot of fun.
Eating dogs in the Dam.
Haidee (2nd from left), a friend from Bendigo who married a Dutchman (3rd from left) happened to be in Amsterdam when we were! So they showed us around. Was amazing to have our own little tour guides!
Ah the canals! How romantic!

And Paris: Unfortunately Clare couldn't make it to this one! She had already been to Paris on a different trip though so Kristen took the opportunity to go for a visit.
Snails taste like chicken.

Croissants for breakfast!

The Eiffel Tower.

Kristen's lovely friend Deb came along for the ride!

The Louve

The original Mona Lisa - it looks very small is real life.

And can you believe we found karaoke in Paris!?

On our last night we went to the Moulin Rouge! We had the BEST time, it was so amazing. I will add photos later.

Christmas in France - spoilt rotten!

Although we were missing family and friends this year at Christmas Claire and her family made every effort to ensure that we had an amazing Christmas in France! It was our first cold Christmas and cold it was! It was -10 degrees at some points and even threatened to snow a few times! Lots of frost on everything so it was still a white Christmas! Claire and Clare (yes it does get confusing) were sporting some nice bruises having slipped up on the stairs one morning (Claire's Grandad did much better simply stepping past the girls lying on the floor whinging).

Pressies all round!

One thing is for sure - Claire's Dad Graham is one hell of a cook and so we thought the additional of the food diaries part 2 was required for this post! So here goes:

Ok so it didn't snow but we made our own
Yes ice on everything!
